Michelle Lova
BIO
German painter Michelle Lova is best known for her portraits of individuals or of small groups of two people in relation to their surrounding, such as the public or in a leisurely context. Her sensitive but vivid paintings with oil or acrylics are held in a precise and bold palette, and derive mostly from her immediate surrounding and biographic elements, but also from filmstills or found objects.
By doing so, Lova examines themes like authenticity and humanity in juxtaposition with the economization and segmentation of our times. Therefore a driving topic of her work is the human behavior among each other but also how to deal with our globalized and technological world.
